Simple Skincare Routine

Hi lovelies! I've been gone for awhile, so here's a little update on what's going on with me these past few weeks. My second year of university has started three weeks ago. I've been super busy with projects and homework, I only get 3-5 hours of sleep a day. Even with all the busy schedule, I managed to come up with a skincare routine that is just enough to take care of my skin and keep it fresh while not taking too much time out of my day. I will post my full-on skincare routine if you guys would like to see, but this is usually what I do when I'm in a rush.

First, I start off by removing all my make up and excess oil on my face by using this Simple cleansing wipes. I leave it on my eyes for a couple seconds then gently wipe off the mascara.

I then get in the shower and use this cleanser by THE FACE SHOP, I bought this while I was in Asia for my holiday. The smell is super amazing and it doesn't leave my skin all dried up after the shower like many other cleansers do. I've been using it for 1-2 months now and it made my skin look healthier, which is a great bonus. Super happy with this and will definitely repurchase.

Straight out of the shower,  the first thing I do is grab a cotton pad and pump up some of this toner then wipe my face to really purify my pores. This toner is from Etude House which I got from my Asia trip as well. I like it so far, it's very refreshing and really cleanse the very last bit of dirt/make-up on my face. It also helps with getting rid of sebum and controls oil on your face.

Next is Hada Labo, I heard a lot of Asian beauty gurus raved about this but I was skeptical about getting it at first because from the reviews I read a lot of people were allergic to it. I'm glad I bought it now because it helped improved my skin so much and made my skin baby-butt soft! It's like a serum that prepares your skin for the rest of your routine. It helps your skin absorb better and it also lock the moisture in your skin. The method of applying it is also interesting; you rub it all over your face until it gets a bit sticky, then you start patting it in until you feel the softness on your face.

And my moisture stage begins! This is my day time moisturiser as it is light and quick to absorb. I start with this light moisturiser from The Body Shop. It smells very refreshing and since I have combination skin with oily t-zone it helps with keeping my skin matte all day. Nothing to complain about this one!

It's going into the winter season now in London, so I need a moisturiser which is thicker and really keeps my face moisturised through out the night. This cream is a bit too heavy for day-time, so I use it at night instead. I love how it gives my skin a glow when I wake up and my skin feels like it's been well pampered all night. It's a holy-grail for people with dry skin or if you live in a cold place like me!

After all the face routine I thought I might as well include what I put on my body. I have to say that before I got this lotion I was the worst at moisturising my body, because all the lotions I've used before have either strong scent or hard to absorb. I never finish a body lotion before, I'm so guilty. Until I found this body lotion at THE FACE SHOP, it's the perfect kind of lotion I was looking for. The scent is amazing and the consistency is light & easy to absorb and does a really good job at keeping my skin moisturised. I've been using this every single day since I bought it and I think I'll have to purchase another one soon. Putting on body lotion is suddenly my favourite thing to do now!

Ending this post with a sunset from my balcony :)
I hope you are having a great weekend and I'll see you in my next post!
